read "The Making of a Manager" by Julie Zhou. It is helped me a lot in interviewing for a management position.
good luck
That you're being interviewed for the role in the first place means they see something in you they believe would make a good leader. So you should feel good about that. I've been there too. Above recommended books are good, I'd also suggest reaching out to any former trusted bosses or mentors for counsel.
Personally, if this is helpful, I try to create the best culture I can where people feel empowered to run their work, but supported and guided when they need it. In an industry where genuine care and empathy for people is lacking, I try to always put that at the forefront. I make sure to have consistent and scheduled time with everyone, from junior to group director, to talk outside of the office and offer advice and guidance on opportunities for growth. And just to be there as a friend, battle buddy, or someone to tell at / vent when it's needed.
Would also say, don't feel like you have to follow canned approaches. Trust your gut, find your own way, and if you genuinely like being a leader (not everyone does, which is also ok), you'll find a style that works for you.
Good luck with the interview!
management style and how do you lead to inspire ideas?
Another good one to read is “Radical Candor.” Even just the website has really good managerial insight about “caring personally while challenging directly.” It’s a management style that shows you’re serious about results but also empathetic to your direct reports.
