I started working for a bank and am going through the background check. They found an arrest which was dismissed and the file was sealed a few days after the check. They’re requesting the police report on top of the court order to seal. The police report is BAD. During the arrest (DUI) they wrote the report to make me seem like a complete lunatic. Embellished on several elements of the case. I am worried that giving them this report will cause me to be let go.

I have my annual review coming up and want to hear thoughts on what a reasonable raise expectation is. I report to the COO and currently make $94k + up to 10% annual bonus based on company hitting their revenue goal + I have 3000 stock options. I have 3 YOE in customer success but pivoted to a non technical program manager role at a series c tech startup last September. I’m up for senior this year, but concerned I won’t be promoted. At the end of my first year I had great reviews that were a mix of at at level or developing towards next level and had one critic that said I needed to develop technical knowledge in one area of tax. This year, I’m acting senior on almost all of my engagements, I’ve successfully trained all the new associates and new senior associates on my biggest engagement, and have been told that I’ve exceeded expectations on that cont.

There are too many restrictions being a CPA firm, let’s break apart the CPA firm and have an advisory firm and a CPA firm. Now it makes sense why firms are becoming Advisory firms with CPAs as opposed to a CPA firm with CPAs.

Thinking about going independent and operating out of my home office. Does anyone have any thoughts to share about that? I’m wondering about clients coming to my home and FINRA issues.

Completed Google on-site around 2 weeks ago. Yesterday the recruiter reached out to me saying she has ‘updates’ and wanted to connect today. I sent her some slots to connect and she did not reply. When I reached out today, she said she is overwhelmed with work and wants to connect after the long weekend. I have no option but to wait for 4 days now.
What do you guys think the reason for this delay could be? Is recruiter purposely buying time? Or she could truly be overwhelmed? Thoughts?
