Hello fishes🐠. Can anybody guide me on the dress code followed in the BlackRock London office? Will be joining soon and want to ensure I dress appropriately (My current workplace is very casual, people wear jeans and sneakers). For context, a woman joining in a role that is not client facing, not portfolio manager. Thanks in advance.
Any one familiar with comp for a Portfolio Associate roll at PIMCO on their mortgage backed securities team? I’m looking at an offer and want make sure I’m in line with the average comp for the company and industry. Only 4 months of experience and offer is 98k w/ 10-20% bonus plus 15k relo/ sign on. Looking at Glassdoor, bonuses seem higher than quoted by the hiring manager. (No written offer yet they say they’re still working on it)

I’ve seen great BA’s grow to be Project managers, change leaders, UX researchers, Product Owners, Product Managers, etc … it really depends on you.
What part of the BA role did you not like? Or why are you seeking a change? BA’s have a very broad competency set across Analytics, Process Engineering, Projects, Training & development, etc. lots to do and explore as a BA
Maybe look into being a technical writer, testing lead or even looking into organizational change management? Sounds like you have lots of tools in your tool box to make you successful regardless of where you pivot to. Good luck!
I would look into data analytics, or BA roles with an emphasis on data analysis

I’m surprised you’re not just about BA given your title.
Shouldn’t be too hard to pivot to a more pure BA role. Might need to look outside your current organization, though.

That’s a good question. I would think a BA is more aligned with pulling data from databases (SQL) and doing some models/analysis on the data, putting together a presentation to share the findings.
If you work with external clients, some level of documentation or project management, but only about 20% of your time.
You sound like you’re on your way to a management level for analytics. My other guess is you’re in a small company and you wear many hats.
Your likes are in line with a data analyst at a smaller start up
I can’t DM you as I’m fairly new to fishbowl but if you can DM me, or we can get a convo going, I could shed a bit more light here.
