I am looking to jump from coordinator to operations manager. There's no opportunity to grow where I'm at. I've been more than a coordinator in the tasks I manage. I wear a lot of hats and handle everything from LTL to boxcar shipments. 12 years experience in various capacities. What is the best way to express that when job hunting?

Sounds exactly like me, I decided to make an internal move away from the department to gain more varied experience

I’d use that as a threat then, say if you won’t let me move I will be seeking employment elsewhere and your skills are better kept within the company than at a competitor

If you have a good relationship with account reps and senior managers at companies your serve, reach out and ask ask about those folks experience and opportunities at said company.

Yea it depends, plenty of our transportation planners have come from brokers that either serviced our company or tried to get the business before.

Hey Everyone,
I’m looking for any type of job in the realm of supply chain (open to other roles as well.) I’m in the Canton, Ohio area but am open to remote positions.
Thanks!

AMA- consulting/ corporate strategy/ M&A

Hey all! While I stay in quarantine to assess a potential COVID exposure, I figured I’d host an Ask Me Anything for the above topics/ career tracks.

I’m a 27 year old manager, who’s been in consulting for 4.5 years, directly out of college, in Accenture doing M&A strategy for Financial Services & Life Sciences. I’ll try to answer to the best of my ability (mostly everything except client details ofc).
