I am so ineffective without my medication, but with my medication I feel like my work life balance suffers. I am always “on” and working. I’m not even using the highest dose 5 mg extended release. I’ve also noticed that my memory really suffers since I’ve been on Adderall. Anyone have any tips?

It may not apply to you at all, but I was originally on anxiety and depression meds. Once those started to work, the ADHD symptoms started to show up and restart the process of figuring out what is going on. My point is you may be solving one problem, but now experiencing something else. Not the biggest deal, but something to consider.

If you think of the medicine as a tool and not a cure it works better by that I mean you still need to develop what I like to call “ADHD Life Skills” keeping a calendar, keeping a consistent schedule, and consistent places for objects, we are much better off now than 20 years ago with all the technology we can use to help us. Digital assistants like Siri and Google Assistant are game changers. Ask them to set reminders for you. This is what works for me you will have some trial and error before you find what words for you but consistency is key. Once you find your aid ADHD Life Skill set that works for you practice it always. We will never navigate life like the normies and that just how it is.

And to add Are you drinking enough water? I tend to forget to hydrate when medicated and that can also contribute to forgetfulness

Do the meds last all day for you? Maybe try using first thing in the morning and let your meds wear off in the afternoon.

Any idea how often those lists get updated?

Now that all students are back to eating in the cafeteria, the “peanut/tree nut free” section is just at the end of each long table. I have a very severe peanut allergy myself and worry about cross contamination constantly. And as a school nurse, I’m wondering what other schools do to prevent cross contamination in the cafeteria. Thoughts?

One example of personal experience is my ongoing prep for case studies as I'm interviewing with a number of firms.
