I am trying to transition into a new field. I don’t know what field, all I know is I am tired of being treated negatively at the workplace. I have been in automotive sales nearly 10 years, my commissions have always been well into the 6 figure realm. Any suggestions on a new career? Where I have worked in the past have always seemed to be places where favoritism,nepotism, and glass ceilings thrive.

I had a job interview for a role that I really want. The hiring manager scheduled me for an interview and did not show up. Emailed me an hour later stating that he got super busy and couldn’t attend, and would like to reschedule. This is a major red flag, but I can’t help but feel that I am missing out since this role pays 50% over what I currently make. Should I let the recruiter know? What’s your take on this?

My company blames my generation for not being able to hire everyday. “You guys don’t want to work” coming from some overweight, racist, old coaster. I’ve barely taken any days off this year and pick up “skeleton crew” days any chance I get. I was able to work out a deal with my company before I came because of prior experience luckily, but they offer a terrible base salary and sham of a commission structure to new hires + no remote. Then sit here and can’t figure out why…

Is it a red flag if, after almost two years in a full quota carrying and selling role I want to take a lower role at another company in order to break into a field (tech sales) I want to work in? It’s better pay - closer to home and at a company with a better reputation?

Looking to transition to cloud computing sales. I have a 20 year sales history in IT sales but I have never sold any cloud computing products. Would any of the free certifications help ?
