No penalties for late work, taking excuses for attendance, lower academic and behavioral standards... I left Audit at a midsize firm to join KPMG erp implementation consulting about 6 months ago. So far they seem to only want to staff me on projects with a heavy focus on technical accounting and audit. Spoke to a lot of others who have left and seems like being pigeonholed or staffed on projects not related to the actual core work of the practice is the common reason. I've been on the fence about whether I should stay and hope to be staffed on better projects in the future or leave soon...

Folks recently joined P in the tech consulting practice. One one of the calls I realized that we are not really selling solutions but mostly staff aug for clients. Is that really how P does business? Coming in from big 4 this was a surprise to me. Given that most D and MDs are homegrown, probably used to this way of business, however we are not selling solutions is a concern in my opinion. Thoughts?
