I applied for a job not long ago and got an interview the interview went well. After a few days they gave me a call to come and check out the facility they work at to get a taste of their daily operation. As soon as I walked in there I wanted to run out of there because it was beyond messy seems like they have no structure .everything so disorganized. They also mentioned usually people leave within a year lol tbh that gave me a bad vibe. Still deciding if I should take it. Would you ?

If you don’t have a job, and you need one from a financial standpoint, I’d take it… I’d rather work in unstructured chaos and eat, versus be unemployed and hungry… with the competitiveness of this market, who knows how long it will be before another offer surfaces…

There’s nothing saying you can’t still apply and interview and leave in a few months… it seems like that’s par for the course for this company anyway…

The person that invited you, must have thought the world of you. Maybe, just Maybe they thought this is an opportunity to get things in order, and they thought you were the perfect person for this. Don't look at this as a hindrance but as an opportunity

Take the job, get paid, keep looking. As soon as you find something better, jump.

You might not even have to put the junk job on your resume/LinkedIn.

like

agreed. I took a job and it was a NIGHTMARE. Grossly misrepresented and the upper management was a mean-girls type vibe. coming in as the lgbtq candidate that looks different from everyone else on the team put a target on my back.

i don’t even mention the experience. Block it out an erase the short time I was there.

I had a similar experience at the place I’m at now! the are considering me for a new position because of all the feedback I gave!! 😂 it was only supposed to be temporary but I’m going to see how it goes! I was laid off back in March so I was desperate to find something

like

No I wouldn't take it! Usually you end up quitting yourself because how unorganized the company is.

You maybe the ONE (1)... to create structure, reorganize, and uplift the entire team. 🤔

I think you should give it a try, especially now considering how jobs are dwindling. Good luck.

Well you can really make a doing and proof your worth

Sounds like the Home health Care office I worked at for 3 months and Uniontown Pennsylvania!! Run!! Do not look back do not ask any questions!!🤷🏼‍♀️

Dont judge a book by its cover,

I most definitely would take it Iam a 56 year old and I have an extensive history of always having a job. I have done so many things, I have a lot of experience and I feel like it’s a struggle for the older generation that wants to work/ have to work I feel we can’t win against the younger generation. #unemployed

Try it out if you need the job. Keep looking if you find it not working out for you.

Honestly, if the environment already feels messy, unstructured, and people don’t stay long, that’s a big red flag. No job is worth constant stress and instability. That’s why I always encourage people to start learning stock trading online. It gives you control over your own income, lets you build financial independence, and you don’t have to rely on jobs where the system is broken. With consistency and the right knowledge, trading can become a skill that pays you for life … no boss, no messy workplace, just your effort creating your results. 🚀📈

If you have a job, keep looking if you don’t have a job already and you really need the money to stay afloat or survive. Take it and keep looking for something else but if you already have a job, do not take that job.

I'm like you. I feel the same way. I've had some interviews, one in particular, where the place was a dump. I preemptively got anxious that "what if" I got an offer. The pay was great, but I never got the offer, and they keep running their ad every 2 months. The owner has one foot in the grave, and he had to audacity to ask my age by asking when i graduated HS! The company reviews on yelp were bad. Air conditioning place that doesn't run the AC for the sake of the staff. Grease and dirt all over the walls, blackened carpet not changed in 40 years, if that. Musty. I would have loved the money but just not there.

But in this job market, they know there's someone who will take it. I'm about to run out of funds, so now I'm more desperate than earlier.

If you really need money. Continue looking while you have this. Hopefully you will get something better soon. At least you are getting a paycheck. Way to go. I'm still hearing crickets.

Is this a Nsg facility in Pflugerville.

Trust your vibe. If your vibe is off about the place, then that's an indication that your time there will be MISERABLE. Plus, with the place being in a disarray, that goes to show you how management runs the department.

You’re first thought about life and decisions is usually the correct answer. Been there done that. Not worth the risk!

Hello Guys,

I am in a super good position at Jellyfish as a Director with a good room in terms of growth. Great responsibilities, work life balance and I strongly love my job. However, there is an opportunity to join Google Dublin as an Agency Development Manager (level 4) with strong salary, new challenges, different role and responsibilities etc. I HAVE A STRONG DOUBT about a trade off: is better to have a strong margin of growth and a good position or join Google with the above conditions?

Recently accepted a temp role as an HR admin for a former employer. Previously interned there & left because my supervisor did not have any growth opportunities planned out for me; this was in spite of my stellar performance, as reflected in my 90 day review. She has since left the company, but there’s crazy turnover in the company & in the HR department in particular. Just that an HR coordinator resigned. Is it worth going back into a dumpster fire w/ no leadership to gain experience?

The difference in price is substantial – 2.5k for the traditional course vs 6k for the extended one. Any thoughts/recommendations on which one I should take? In case it is helpful, I come from a civil law country. Thanks!
