OP not all republicans are like Democratic sheep that blindly approve all republican initiatives. The votes weren't there because Republicans unlike the democrats who said they don't have time to read and understand the legislation and vote for it anyway, want to find good solutions not just the Hope and Change of the last administration. Also Trump promised to repeal and replace, not repeal and replace in the first 2 months. Come on man.
Nope. We're arguing that charity should be charity, rather than government extortion. If there were no Obamacare, EMTALA, Medicare, or MEDICAID (i.e., 50 yrs ago), the country would be overflowing with caring and generous people, such as yourself, that would gave the honor of voluntarily supporting non-profit hospitals and healthcare organizations. Healthcare would still be a service, and those that couldn't or refused to pay for it would be indebted to your generosity, rather than the pathetic, entitled underclass that the liberals have created
Hey, it worked for Trump Vodka, Trump Steaks, Trump Airlines, Trump Mortgage Financing, and Trump Casinos.
Get over what, D1? The fact that a Republican president, house and senate cannot agree on what is admittedly their biggest priority? And now they are saying 'Ah fuck it' after several years of screaming bloody murder that the system should be fixed?
You can graduate from Hogwarts in 7 years.
"Healthcare isn't a right, it's a service." This statement encapsulates the ideological gap on this issue. I fundamentally disagree. It's hard for me to restrain a personal criticism of you based on that statement, and disappoints me how widespread your viewpoint is.
They had 7 years to come up with something. After 7 years of Plan/Analyze, they had jack shit.
D1 I hope you or your family has to ever depend on public/ govt assistance (financial, health, etc). But if that day comes I sincerely hope you stay true to your beliefs and reject that assistance and just collapse and die. M'kay ?
Get over it. It's is MO. Look at all his businesses, his universities, and his marriages. He is a failure who got his start with a million dollars from daddy. Those who voted for him are getting exactly what they voted for.
I'll beat our Trump-defenders to it: "But Obama!!"
The Beatles were together for 7 years.
Lol, it's a failed program. Forget repeal and replace. It should just be repeal. But, nobody likes to be responsible for taking away entitlements, so just let it collapse on its own.
To those saying it's an awful law - please put forth, obviously in fairly general terms(it's fishbowl after all), what you would see as an ideal solution.
D1, what you so casually call "the race card" is what many of us call "daily life". Cover up, dear. Your white privilege is showing.
And if someone couldn't find a benefactor because they are the wrong color or wrong sexual orientation or wrong religion or a Syrian refuge, they would absolutely die bleeding in the street.
D1 is advocating a return to the feudal system of the middle ages. But Democrats are the ones who don't care for the working class.
Pwc1 your right, he pledged to do in one. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.washingtonpost.com/amphtml/news/politics/wp/2017/03/24/its-true-trump-didnt-pledge-obamacare-repeal-in-64-days-he-pledged-it-in-one/
The idiots/sheep/racists of America don't care.
A child conceived the day the ACA passed would be in 1st Grade and reading today.
He's not really a Republican. Remember when he said he wouldn't commit to the GOP? It was only after he realized he needed a party to keep running, that he committed.
So instead of fixing it, D1, you just want to let it collapse and let the wound fester? Your comments make no sense.
D1, what about the tens of millions of people who can't afford health insurance? Healthcare isn't a luxury. People can't go without it, so they are still consumers and using it, but in the least efficient ways. They use the ER, they forgo preventative care, without regular screenings simple problems become chronic conditions. And all of this, in addition to literally killing poor people and lowering the accademic achievements of their children, drives up costs for those of us lucky enough to have jobs and health insurance.
Replace healthcare with water in your arguments. Perhaps we should all just get flint water. Healthcare is solved the day Congress and Senate and the president have the same level of access to healthcare as everyone else.
