I currently have $30k invested but want to make it to 100k by the end of 2022. I can invest up to $1500 monthly…any advice on how to reach 100k? Think it’s doable?

If you have $30k saved and want 100k by the end of 2022 I'd say your best bet is to increase that monthly savings figure to $5800+, otherwise you are looking for a miracle, not financial advice

You can try growth stocks with tight stop losses.. i have shares with DQ new energy corp & Jinkosolar, also shares with Mitsubishi corp & VICI properties REIT.. I have a much more modest portfolio & im definitely not looking to go up from 30k to 100k but my yearly return is 47% but mainly due to Jinkosolar & other Chinese growth stocks collapsing a little in May I got to buy at a gorgeous entry point & left the stock till Sept..

I have stocks in Altria, & Sumitomo Mitsui (both stocks are in a bottoming out phase & are trading relatively below what they should be trading, both have dividends over 7%, both financially stable stocks...

Maybe if you consider CFDs & trading on leverage, you can manage to reach 100k either by investing equity with a 30:1 or 100:1 leverage & have tight stop losses, or by spending some time to test some strategies on demo accounts before fully trading Natural gas CFDs or something like palladium is easier to analyse than trading crude oil I think anyways...

I do think you have to differentiate between trading & investing though.. you want to invest? Then be patient & aim for a 20% return or invest with 20k & trade with 10k...

Anyways, lucky for you the Feds are planning to hike rates & we'll see a few dips, buy at those dips & wait for the Feds until they panic again & flood the market with more QE than before... timing is everything, be patient & good luck

Very doable.

You should be at 48k by the end of next year. Rough math says if you put it all on black you could get to 100k give or take.

So if you do a quick FV calculation, you would need a monthly return of around 7.2% (or approximately 92% for the year, compounded monthly) to get to $100k in one year. Not impossible, but the odds are not good.

I suppose, if someone gave you $150k to add to that $30k, you could end up with about $100k at the end.

Hi all, I am trying to DCA bi-weekly into Vanguard ETFs, (VO, VTI etc). It seems like Fidelity does not support auto buying of non-Fidelity ETFs. So I was wondering which of these options you think is best?

1. Open a Vanguard Invest account
2. Look for Fidelity ETFs that are similar to Vanguard ETFs
3. Use smaller brokerages like SoFi l, Robinhood etc.

I really do not want to manage nor be active. My goal is to log-in like once every 6 months.

Thank you all.

I’m really discouraged. My after tax / after 401k contributions etc. take home pay is $6,500 monthly. I have $60,000 in savings / stocks for a down payment but even looking at a $550,000 home, my monthly payment would be about $3,400 from the calculators I’ve been using. Is that too high?

So discouraged that houses where I live are about 50% higher than what they were 2 years ago, and now interest rates are around 5.25% for my credit score. This is like a 1750 sq foot home
