A luxury car simply ain’t an investment my friend
Neither is a renting a room, though
Pro
I would only move/live in the burbs if I had a school going kid needing to go to a decent public school
City! (But neither during the pandemic)
I mean there are a lot of factors to consider here. How old are you ? Are you single ? Are you a social person ? Do you prefer to have to drive everywhere to do anything ? Do you like to drink? Do you commute into the city anyways or do you travel weekly ?
Unless you’re looking to just settle down soon I think the burbs are useless. When I graduated I lived in the burbs and bought a brand new sports car. I really wish I had moved to a city instead. Although I had a social life, mostly on weekends, it just was not the same as it was actually living in the cities I’ve lived in. Experiences go a much longer way. The car is whatever.
City
Suburbs scare me
A car is rarely an “investment” always a depreciating asset, especially if it’s a luxury sedan... Pros and cons, if you are always coming to the city then maybe move to it. But, the car isn’t going to help you get in the city that’s for sure (unless it’s the first/last mile from the burbs).
Burbs = death
City!! Home over car any day
Go for burbs. The cost of living way higher in the city groceries, etc. Get the car it will cheaper in the long run
Why don’t you save that money towards a purchasing a home, I don’t see the point of buying a luxury car
Since this pandemic I’ve learned, always have a vehicle!
