Hi fishes,
I am planning a switch so was going through some salary data for a software engineer. My ex-senior manager recommended me a website: Growceed.com which helped me a lot in getting clarification about a lot of things but I am in doubt whether the average salaries of software engineer mentioned on Growceed.com really that much in top MNC companies.

Hello All, I have one question. I was a fresher and joined one organization as external employee with third party payroll. I worked as external payroll for 1 year then I became permanent employee of organization was working. When i was a fresher my salary was below tax slab so my external exployer did not generate any form 16 for me. When tried to switch my new organization wants me to submit form 16 as BGC process. Will my offer get reverted?Cognizant Tata Consultancy HCL Technologies Accenture

I'd ask for hard numbers. Formee Booz here. I came in at $70K and was bumped to like $78 or $80K when I got promoted to SC. I met SC in health who started at $50K and still didnt come close where I was at SC when they were promoted.
I went from 65k w/ unlimited OT to 85k w/o OT @ SC (Commercial/SIG). Kinda leveled out in the long run but they can do a "market adjustment" which usually means you have some mix of:
a) Senior Associate+ in your corner
b) Outside offer
c) Well documented success in current role
d) Other?
If you feel like you fit in these criteria negotiate using logic as to why your salary is not market (top performer) and worse they can say is no.
Disclaimer: I got my start at Booz but I've moved on and took advantage of new opportunities
Mine was 11%
Reasonable since I’ve heard of others getting 1-3%
When I was there, it was 5% + merit increase
Ok so you're pretty recent. Thanks for the solid input
Hmm ok good to know. That amount is usually an annual merit increase. Hopefully mine is at least 5% or more
