I just got an offer from Accenture Switzerland, Total Comp 170K with 140K base. I have 6YOE as IT consultant and 9YOE in total. I am just upset that they did not offer me a relocation package of 20k because the cost of living in Zurich for a family with 1 child is crazy! Should I insist for a sign on bonus before accepting the offer?

🎉 congrats, excited for you :)
@EY5 Ha no. Not even close. Maybe a senior 3 in the Bay Area? I doubt it. Why I didn't want to post the amount. People are stupid. There are other areas besides the coasts.
Nice!!! Chicago Search Group? Lol they email me the most!!!
Maybe this is sarcasm and I missed it? No way any seniors make close to 140k. Not at EY, in assurance.
Four years out of school. Low COLA - 61k to 85k plus 5k bonus. Profit sharing and some other benefits.
Teach us your ways!!!
EY PI seniors make at least $100k typically and certainly can make around $140k depending on their domain/affiliation.
Lmao 140k maybe in NYC as a manager that's about to be promoted to director
Yes, your move is still very exciting! 🎉 great pay bump and your quality of life will likely be much better than the big 4😄
You also have PI "seniors" that are 30+ years old and a ton of outside experience. Compare that to a 30 year old that grew up in Assurance and the pay gets a little more comparable. Good move for your experience and COL for sure!
wow that's a big jump! Congratulations!!
Congrats!!!

I guess I should have clarified I am in assurance, not Performance Improvement. And in a low cost of living area. Which is why I put the increase and not the amount. To avoid this type of comment as most people are not in PI and you need to normalize the salary (by using percentages) since different areas have vastly different salaries.
Advising large companies on close process and systems.
How did you do it!
Congrats
That's amazing!
I wasn't meaning to argue with anyone haha. Just wanted to provide some context. Most PI seniors are much closer to the lower range of around $100k, but specialized seniors can make close to $140k. Again, that's not typical, but they're out there. I know that's hard to imagine for those in other service lines😑
Yes typically in advisory the ranges for seniors in 90-140 k
