Interviewed for 5.5 hours today at a boutique IB today. Base comp is a slight bump. 14 mos in FDD @ PwC who will make senior this CRT - love the role but want to see more of the transaction besides TBs and TB detail. Comp isn’t a huge bump but the IB seems to have a good culture. 20 people. I really am struggling. I worried about FDD golden handcuffs with limited exit ops. Please advise!!! How should I navigate this and assess it from an unbiased perspective. Thx!

I did it! I got an in-house Paralegal position after years of working and being burned out at different law firms. I was going to leave the legal field all together because I was so burned out and depressed, but I decided to give the field one more chance if I was able to go in-house. Prayerfully, this transition will be a good one.

Has anyone successfully managed to move from a niche in-house practice to a more generalist role? If so, can you provide any helpful tips to transition? I have started down a specialty that I fear will limit my mobility in the future and am looking for tips on how to not be pigeon-holed.

Any advice on how to pick the best company for me when offered a position from more than 1 company? I've been interviewing extensively with 4 companies, and I believe 2 are getting ready to send offers. If I receive more than 1 offer - how do I choose? I know cases rarely make it to trial anymore, but I’d like to develop my skills as much as possible to position myself well when they do. Been welding for my company for 13+ yrs and I think it’s time for a change. The culture has completely changed and became toxic. My dream is to go independent do mobile/rig welding and repair then potentially have my own shop/store front. I have all the equipment and truck setup to start but don’t know where or how. What's the biggest health myth you've heard that you'd like to bust? Mine is that supplements are always a healthier option than prescription or OTC meds. A lot of the supplements on the shelf contain all types of unnatural ingredients and can still be harmful depending on the dosage.
