I don't know what to do and it's making me really stressed. I got my degree in MLS two years ago because it was the only STEM degree that didn't require any math classes. Now I'm struggling to cope with the constant task switching, overstimulation, overbearing management, and strict rules regarding what I can wear and what I can do with my body (hair color, piercings, tattoos). I could go on but there's a character limit. I'm thinking about changing careers but worried I'm being impulsive.

Follow your heart. It sounds like you want out. Identify things you're good at and explore what's out there. The sunk cost fallacy can tie people to decisions, degrees, jobs, because they feel it would be a waste to abandon it. Move onward

Are yu on medication or seeing a therapist at all? If you aren't those are some things I might consider. I truly struggled with those ame things before I was put on medicaton and started really learning how to deal with the overstimulation.

My sister & I don’t get along because i feel she is extremely rude & prefers outsiders over family. My parents however, despite the fact that she disrespects them too, always say she is our daughter & we have to deal with it so just let her be. My mom thinks she is not in a good financial state so we should help her & I don’t want to given her disgusting behavior. Every time i buy something nice for myself, my mom kind of pushes me to buy for her too, and I don’t want to. Continued..

Is there such things as FP&A positions in Big 4? If so, are there better times to make the change than others (I.e. at senior vs manager)? I’m currently in FP&A and looking to work at a Big 4, or another company that offers the ability to move abroad. My current company and many others I know about do not offer the mobility to do so until much later, which is not what I want. Thank you.

I was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 12. My family did not opt to put me on medication. I illegally discovered Adderall in college. Worked incredible. Got diagnosed after college & after having been fired from my first job. Passed the CPA exams on Adderall. Went off of it again. I do everything well at my job except for attention to detail within my excel files & emails. Will taking ADHD medication really fix this? Does anyone else have this issue and was it resolved by taking medication?

Anyone a manager? I’m recently diagnosed (26F) and I can’t help but beat myself up everytime I fall short of my to do list. Makes me feel like a huge disservice to my team. If anyone feels similar, how do you manage these feelings? I’m personally considering switching to an individual contributor role, but can’t help but feel like a disappointment if I do.
