See if you get the offer… go from there…
I say go through with it. There’s a reason why this role is open and hiring managers are taking time out of their day to interview. Although a lot of CSG folks were impacted by recent layoffs, our business still needs them. I highly doubt this specific role will be impacted by next layoffs if that’s your concern.
Thank you! Very helpful!!
Where are you now? Can’t blame anyone for being nervous, but highly technical folks tend to be pretty safe. Assuming it’s a role you want and are excited about, I’d push forward. No risk it, no biscuit, but I think you’d be pretty safe if they extend an offer.
I think what’s really vexing me is the complete mess their requisitions are. Positions literally up on the site for less than a day before they come down (sometimes it’s within a few hours). This after already two positions I was interviewing for got put “on hold”.
I don’t necessarily blame HR— OU leadership needs to have their resourcing strategies buttoned up and if a requisition gets listed it’s because you intend to fill the position. Otherwise it is a colossal waste of everyone’s time.
stay where you are.is not the right moment to join a company finishing in the hands of activist investors

……I’ll see myself out.
If you are individual contributor for CSG, should be safer. Senior level individuals were the ones mostly affected in layoffs
Yes in general there are a lot of mid/sr level execs getting the hammer as well. I think the trends are moving towards less bureaucracy to more quickly make decisions….now how “agile” and “lean” monstrous FAANG-like organizations can get is another story.
