She told me that she will get back to me in by the end of this week as the immigration and numbers have yet to finalised. Consulting question: would an enterprise improvement consultant position at AlixPartners fall under the purview of management consulting? As an econ grad student with a 3.8 GPA and 3.5 years of work experience at a financial research firm, what do you think are my chances to get an offer?

I’m graduating in December, with a background in environmental economics and policy. Consulting didn’t work out this cycle. Made it to final rounds for Bain and Kearney but in the end didn’t get an offer. I want to recoup and try again, but I’m worried that once I’m out of undergrad the door will be closed to starting in consulting.

What can I do to make this happen? I have friends and connections at Bain and Kearney and the other firms as well, but not sure if it’s feasible now.
