After a few long interview processes, I've learned that prior CPG experience is highly valued when entering any CPG industry (even in low- to mid-level roles). Can someone with experience recruiting in the space help explain the importance of the experience? Alternatively, would love to be able to "spin" my resume to help fill in the gaps that this lack of experience leaves.
Any idea about Deloittes Threat analyst role??
For anyone at alight, I just got an interview survey feedback. Is that bad to receive it early ?

Asked my HR coordinator who said it will be 45mins on past experience and competencies but no need to prepare. Still not sure about case studies and if yes, what type? Thank you

New rule: if your project gets shortlisted, post a link to the actual work or case study, not a dumb square the rest of your connections couldn't care less about. Thanks for coming to my TED talk. #oneshow #clios
I went into a store yesterday without a mask and I think I now know what being black is like. Everyone was just staring at me like I didn't belong. It was uncomfortable and eye opening
My adland exit: I worked in new biz for 8+ years and was burning out. For a while I’d been feeling like a cog in the capitalism wheel and needed a higher purpose than pitch decks! I wanted to work in sustainability to tackle the climate crisis and through a series of moves (AMA 👍), I’m now leading global marketing for an NGO called Forest Stewardship Council. A huge relief. I’m also now hiring a Marketing Manager (true reason for this post). Long shot, but details below if this speaks!

I am 30 and just got promoted to Senior manager. I think I am doing well but I feel I am driven more by pessimism, imposter syndrome, and fear of getting fired as opposed to a positive mindset and the desire to thrive in my career. I feel like I am suffering from some sort of a mental issue but wanted to throw it out here and get some advice to deal with this from the fishbowl fam as opposed to going to therapy. Thanks in advance for your responses!

Looking for input on a career decision. Me: 9 YOE, homegrown manager who is currently doing a stop in industry. I have an offer to return to consulting (M&A). My end game is pure strategy. Do I take the offer or wait for the opportunity to interview for pure strategy? My take is it’s more difficult to lateral the more senior you are in your career.

Just got laid off due to COVID cuts, I have a background in typical brand strategy/project support/market strategy consulting work, so not a ton of professional experience but was described as a rockstar by supervisors/mentors.
