I had an interview at a company in Georgetown, first by phone, then on teams, then invited to interview with the Director & HR manager then had another interview with another manager. I was told by the Director in the interview “you convinced me” and the other manager gave me their personal cell number to reach out if I had anymore questions and that he heard great thing about me. I seemed that I was going to be hired. I wasn’t. Am I wrong in thinking the signals they sent were unprofessional? 💔

I think reaching out for pointers to help you improve your skills would be very positive. That might impress them if the direction they are planning doesn’t work out.

Thank you. Will do.

Yes. For all you know they lost funding. Doesn't hurt to call the guy who gave out his direct cell. Just be nice. You are a little confused, you got grear feedback and got the impression of moving to next steps. What could you do in the future to improve your odds of moving from.interview to offer? You really lkie the company, does he think it worthreapplting if you see a other opening.

Lots of things you can ask depending on how it goes. Just approach it from inquisitory. Keep they how could you have strung me along out of your voice. He may be feeling a tad bit of guilt if he really wanted you that it didn't work out so may even be willing to refer you to another opening in the company that is on the horizon. You never know till you try and connect. You already don't have the job. If you are nice, you have nothing to lose.

It does sound like they were going out of the way to seem like they were going to offer a job, then to turn around and not, is kind of wild. Hard to say what they were thinking during the process and what else may have happened. Sorry that happened to you! Wish people were more careful about what they say.

Thank you. I’m heartbroken because I really thought this was the one, after months of looking. It wasn’t a salary issue, or anything like that, but it was the loose lips in the company that made me feel like my luck was going to change. And I’m struggling to understand. I just have to keep the faith and pick myself up and go again. Thank you for taking the time to share you thoughts, I appreciate it.

Did you reach out and ask?

Have been in shock, but will follow up this week.

Hey folks, need some help. I cleared all my interview rounds and had completed the documentation too. However for more than two weeks the status on the portal is "offer initiated". The HR says the delay is happening because the people who need to approve are on leave. Are they playing around or keeping on hold? Do they actually release offer after this much delay? Please share if you know anything about it.

So should I consider this as a dead end ? Does this generally happen at JP? Feels weird that I have been ghosted after what I felt was a very good interview.. Was a good fit too.JPMorgan Chase
