Here’s a very pointed thread on transforming transportation and how a Tesla may actually be a hindrance to the effort. I’m not convinced in hydrogen’s long term viability, but can see its merits in some defined use cases. But this thread shows the nuance, trade offs, and quickly emerging entrenched interests in the ET.

Someone called me a funcle (fat uncle). Things can always be worse.
Funcle is def fun uncle.
Better than being a (c)aunt. Cool aunt. And no I don’t mind the term.

I called my boyfriend a guncle and he hated it so you are not alone 😂
i really like the word but i can’t say it in front of my boyfriend because it makes him feel sick too. my sister made the mistake of calling us “the guncles” in front of him and it didn’t go down well 😂

Yea it’s a love hate thing with this word….
If it is for blood nieces or nephews then it’s not appropriate. It’s if a close friends child then it doesn’t bother me. Kind of makes me happy, like they think of me as family. Just my opinion.

People are using the term G*ncle now as a blood relative uncle that is also gay… I am not ashamed to be gay or hide it but the word 🤮 just makes me sick for some reason.
I think it bothers me because it’s like labeling your foreign uncle as the “foreign uncle” every time you see him. It can get old quick and sometimes I just want to be seen as the uncle who happens to be gay, not “guncle”. It’s great that there’s an appreciation and inclusion of us in the family but it almost seems like there are subconscious lines drawn as a “guncle”.
Kids are also very impressionable and I want kids to know that while being gay may be a great influence on my life, it isn’t the sole source of my happiness. At the end of the day, I want to be a role model and not a caricature to my siblings’/friends’ kids.

^exactly. 🙌🏼💯
I hate that word and always have. Someone wrote a novel called "The Guncle" and my mom gave it to me as a Christmas gift. I'm endlessly glad to have my family's support and love but I literally never want this term used in reference to me

I had no idea people had such issue with the term, I've always worn it proudly!

Dislike it. It’s a dumb idea and sounds stupid.
