at my firm people jump from 70k (no masters) to 90k (master) for starting salary
Are you comfortable in sharing the name of the company, I am currently looking for some new opportunity and would like to try my luck. Thanks
I have 7 years, a masters, licensed, and I’m at $75K which is average (slightly low) in Arizona. Just to reiterate, it really depends on where you are and what size firm you’re at
With a masters, seek a part-time faculty position at a university. Do not work overtime.
Become sexy, desirable., prestigious. Then ask what you’re worth.
Where you are based? Are you licensed or pursuing licensure? The AIA salary calculator might be useful as a first pass for your question. Although not always a perfect representation, they recently updated their “regions” and, based on what I know from my friend group, they seem to have a pretty accurate snapshot.
Seems fairly reasonable perhaps a bit low but not heinous. I have 6.5yoe and make 90 (which is low Im looking for 105-110k this summer when I will hit 7yoe) for reference
