Looking to make the move from working in industry to big4 and was curious as to what level and pay I might be worth?
I have 10 years experience out of uni, as well as completed CPA and MBA. I have a experience in managing entire finance function of small/medium entities, but most notably solid corporate finance experience/strategy leading refinance exercises, debt raising, hedging/treasury strategy etc…Would be looking for something in deal advisory / M&A / CFO advisory etc….thanks Deloitte EY PwC @

Fishes, OK so this is true. Wipro is delaying the joining by half a month due to some restrictions or organisational changes & not ready to compensate for that half a month loss of salary. Very rude & absurd behaviour from them. Hence rejecting the offer as such company if u aren't sure when to ask for joining u may revoke the offer letter later on. Dude I worked security for like 5 years and it has never come up on a background check don’t worry about it you’re good lol
That is not what a background check is… a background check looks to see if you have a criminal record . 
I lost a TJO at DOJ due to leaving a four year gap for a job I worked at 7 to 11 years ago. They were underhanded about it and didn’t even tell me. Filled an EEO complaint, which they settled. See,s that the CFO meddled, micromanaged his hiring manager, and was the one making something out of it. The USAjobs announcement stated to list relevant positions, and I didn’t feel it was relevant.

EY background checked me so thoroughly that they found a job from 6-7 years ago I only worked at for few months to make ends meet at the time (server for a catering company) and I genuinely just forgot about it, but either way wouldn’t think it was relevant. That place apparently still had me listed as an employee so they asked, but I explained it and it wasn’t a big deal, they didn’t want any proof etc so I would assume it wouldn’t be a big deal for other companies?
Even if they dug in and found that somehow, your resume is for just your highlights, not your life story.
No it won’t matter. I don’t list every signle job I had, especially the ones that are only 3/4 months.
I worked a part-time role several times in my long career. It shouldn't matter unless you were working this part-time role during the same hours as your full-time role. A background check is to see if you have a criminal record. If your part-time role was selling illegal drugs or doing something else that is illegal it would be a big deal.
