For 5years of experience you should definitely hit 120k+. We are hiring data professionals. If you need more info. Dm me
@OP 5 years of doing what though? Is that 5 years of growth or the same monotony? Data analyst roles have a broad range of tech skillsets and soft skill expectations.
Depends on your own experience. If you have less than 2 years, can’t reasonably expect anything over 90k for a remote role. 70-80k for remote is the market at entry level. If this is a promotion after 1 year as a junior data analyst, 75k is market rate. You could try negotiate for 80k, but I’d just take the new title and leverage it for an exit opportunity.
Thank you! Great feedback! I always felt like I was underpaid, I’ve been with the Data Analytics team for 5.5 yrs now so I wasn’t expecting that low of an offer. Not for a senior role!
OP you should be able to get better than that
What are you making now? If this offer is significantly more, then it might still be worth it as a stepping stone for the pay bump and title
That’s what I’m thinking as well, but I didn’t just want to make that assumption. I’m at 71k(base) right now. If I did the math right, it’s basically about a 3% pay increase or $0.35/hr pay increase. I don’t think that’s appropriate, just for the fact that I almost automatically get an 8% pay increase after each fiscal year based on my performance.
