I have an internship offer from Company A, I’m in the application process for Company B(B>A). But expect the results of B after the acceptance deadline of A , can I ask Company B to convert internship offer to job offer if I get it?(willing to give additional interview rounds if necessary)

I have attended two interviews with cognizant for the same role. From that, I have got an offer letter from one panel and I am discussing with the HR about to make some salary revise.
Unfortunately, the second panel also processed my profile and it got short listed and they come back for a talk to process the offer letter. Now the first panel HR called me and asked about the second process why it got happened.
Does this results in any drawback for the offer letter i have got already?

Envelope math:
* $125k/year would require an investment portfolio of ~$3M.
* Targeting a $2M home (split with partner)
