Hello, it's me.

This is why I secretly avoid 1:1s with my manager!

I recently interviewed with MITRE for a systems engineering role to make the move from Leidos where I feel underpaid for the work I do and for my experience ($85K). I have 4 YOE, a STEM degree, and soon will have a Masters Degree. I’m looking to make around $120K in the new role at Mitre. Does anyone have any insight into comp there? This would be in the DC metro area. Does $120K seem reasonable or am I dreaming?

Google 1, it went pretty well actually. Now I'm trying to schedule the next round.
Technical consulting at PSO has some soft skills eval like communications/strategy/problem solving, some coding with basic data structures, and then sometimes more technical questions based on the exact role. Not sure how much of that would apply to your particular role, but I would be ready for some of the behavioral side of things in addition to skills, especially if you need some warm-up around thinking on your feet in interviews. I know I can get nervous quite a bit and sometimes have to practice talking to an empty room about imaginary situations the night before.
