I have been waiting for 3 weeks now to get my written offer post the verbal offer was made. Every time I ask the recruiter, they tell me they are awaiting approvals from the management. While I understand it is the financial year end/promotion cycle and this can cause some delays in the process, is a 3-week (& probably more now) waiting time period normal? Should I expect a positive response or just move on? Has anyone experienced anything similar? Would love your insights.

I finished a third round interview, and HR contacted me that afternoon saying I had positive feedback across the board and they would contact me the next day regarding next steps. It’s been two days and they finally get back to me saying they haven’t been able to sync with the hiring manager but will keep me posted. Honestly I wish they would talk with the hiring manager and then let me know the decision instead of checking in. It’s messing with my emotions.

I gave google silicon interview all 4 rounds 3+ months back, from then they are saying they want to hire me but headcount approval is not yet received.
Last week they said, lets go for one more round and finalize immediately. That interview also went very good.
Post that they didn't call back itself, they have stopped responding also.

Has anybody faced this issue? This I feel completely unprofessional and not really expected from Google.

I have 7 years of military supply chain experience, plus a year and a half outside of the military. I am an inventory control manager currently, and have applied to positions like demand planner, supply chain manager, supply planner, and other manager positions. Any advice on how to correct my job search?

I’m new on the job search and still employed. I’m looking to grow further in the logistics industry. While I look for work, it’s a bit discouraging seeing how hundreds of people apply for positions I see on LinkedIn. I still apply because you never know and AI plays a huge effect in selections. Should I even bother applying when there are more than 100 applications?

Hi, I had finished my technical and managerial round on May 25th and 26th with PWC. The manager did mention that there would be another in-person round in the PWC Bangalore office. Although the first 2 rounds went well, there has been no further response from HR. Is this a normal delay or should I think I didn't make it. Any thoughts?

Why the heck do Recruiters and Hiring managers do such a poor job keeping applicants informed to the status. I had my time wasted with an opportunity for a fortune 100 position for 3 1/2 months. Phone Screens, Zoom Interview with hiring manager, Face to face with hiring manager. (Then asked for professional references) , impromptu Zoom meet with other leader who was completely disengaged. Then boom... six weeks of silence vague texts from hiring manager they were still going thru the process..

Am I understanding utilization rate correctly? It’s chargeable time over total time? Charged 40 hours and had 10 hours non-charge so my utilization is 80%? If so, wouldn’t it benefit me to understate non-charge hours so my utilization is higher since they only really care about chargeable time anyways? Charge 40 hours still but only put 5 hours non-charge for utilization to be 89% instead of 80%? Or am I misunderstanding how utilization works?

Why do leaders keep comparing how “good”the new staff/seniors have it because they make more money starting out then they did and working 55 hours is better than the 70-80 hours they used to work? Instead they should compare what options they have available to them and what their goals are.

Job transition question: I recently accepted an offer for a new role with Merrill Lynch, the following day I was fired from my previous employer. I haven’t filled out the updated work history background check info yet. The reason for termination was due to performance expectations not being met. i left deloitte risk advisory due to personal reasons in sep 2021 (time off since july 2021) as the work got a bit much and my situation at home was complex.

i applied for a snr consultant role in consulting (strategy & ops, indus. redesign & innov.) and saw my app. got shortlisted. this role looks more suited for me and im super interested in it, more so than my prev. exp at D but you never know haha. whats the process like/how likely will i progress?
