Scenario 1: they no, no harm done I go back and keep applying in the mean time for something remote. Scenario 2: The realize I’m not happy and backfill my position on the low and then fire me.
I'm not sure it would hurt to ask about it. If you really think that would create a negative impression that would lead them to push you out, then it's good you're looking for something else. But if you want to keep working from home, you'll need to ask about it and try to put it in motion.
There is no harm in asking OP and you won't know until you do. The worst they can say is no and then you are in the same position you are in now. But if you have already been doing this job from home I don't see why they wouldn't allow you to keep doing so if it means keeping you at the company.
If you can stay with your employer, please do that. Wait until the election is over in November to find a new job. I lost my job in healthcare remotely in July, and to date, no interviews that were serious options.
I’ve out of work for nearly 6 months. I am a healthcare administrator by profession. to date no traction what so ever.
Hang in there.
I would wait only reason is according to a article 40%, of the job application are fake. Then I talked to a recruiter they said that the election has alot to do with the hiring phase. People don't know how it's going to go. Employers are leary of what's going to happen. Just think about it.
I think 80% of the job postings are fake.
