I have gotten around 3-3.5% merit raise increase for each of the last 5 merit cycles plus one in-place promotion (9% increase) in this time, meaning I received a promotion in title and pay but no change in job responsibilities, which I have been doing since 01/2019.

My problem is that I have been looking for a new role, on a different team, for the last couple years. I keep getting rejected from each internal role I have applied without an interview. It's driving me nuts.

How do I figure out spending with my SO? Initially I was paying for 90% of stuff (no actual bills, just going out). I talked to her and said we need to be more even. She was never proactive. She kind of got offended but we ended on a good note to split things. It went well for a couple weeks but now it's back to normal. She never takes out her card and only venmos me if I send her the request. She lets Venmos sit for weeks before paying them. I still let a lot of things slide.

My joining date is coming closer, however education background checks are still processing ( international degrees) . My onboarding coordinator told me that I can still join even if education check is still in progress, provided there wont be any flags. I don’t see any issue with my degrees and have done same with my past companies.
Anyone experienced this ? Any problem joining while check is processing ?
