I have interviewed at Deloitte M&A as an experienced hire, direct entry manager position. Position is located in the west coast. I just received a call from HR letting me know I got the job and will receive an offer by tomorrow. My questions are -What should the base salary range be? What percentage annual bonus is the norm - 20%? 30%? And do experienced hires get sign on bonuses?

Also got an offer from M&A a month ago, so this is my data point; 185K, 20K sign on, and 31% bonus based on performance.
Also they will say “25% bonus” but expect 10. That’s the one thing you don’t need to negotiate on because it’s performance driven and variable. Negotiate on other things like base

Should target 150-180 base depending on your background
Bonus varies a LOT, like 5-30%, most usually fall within 10-20% from what I’ve seen
Yes, ask for a sign on, ideally 10k+

25k was my sign on bonus in S&A as manager
It should be between 160k-200k base depending on where you are coming in between M1-M4
I got an offer from Strategy and Analytics a month ago and the offer I accepted was 205k base, 30k signing bonus and upto 31 % bonus in FY22 (I expect 10-15% eventually).
Their first offer was 190k base and 25k signing.
I also came from Kpmg and was M3 there at 168k base.
Thanks. This is really helpful.
It’s in demand at Deloitte. M&A is short on staff. Hard negotiate
Could i dm you to get an idea of who to network with?
Congrats! Mind if I ask, what group are you a part of at the firm? Looking to get into M&A
Do you have an MBA? What’s your background? Congratulations!
I have an MBA. Graduated several years ago. My undergrad is in accounting. My MBA is from a top 15 school and my concentration was finance.
I have 10 years of work experience.

Are you west coast or are they expecting you to relocate? If they expect you to relocate, you should ask for relocation too.
Lol, what? Based on experience if you’re being asked to go to a specific office that isn’t close to your major city you can ask to negotiate relocation - particularly for experienced hires. Upon receiving my offer to a location that was not my hometown, I was able to also secure relo. So yes, I do.
