What do you wish on your ex?

Been having trouble moving on since girlfriend ended relationship 3 weeks ago after 2+ years of dating. Before ending it she came over 3 weeks prior to basically give me a chance to work things out and we had a good discussion but then I went back into our routine and didn’t really fight for it or have serious follow up convos that we needed. Now I just have so many regrets that I let her go. I know we still love each other and left on “good” terms but can’t forgive myself for my lack of action.

I love my SO. We’ve been together for nearly a decade and are talking marriage. I know being with him though will require living far from my family. I love my family and dread the thought of being far from them. My SO has been transparent about wanting to return to his home country. I don’t want to lose him but I also dread being far from my family. What’s the right call here? Fwiw he’s lived in my home country for about a decade now but has been able to visit his pretty easily (cont)

Anyone have situational depression? Can’t stop beating myself up over a decision a year ago. Basically missed out on a massive amount of money. I know this seems trite and i never even cared thatt much about money before this year.

So many other good things happened to me this year - got married, got a puppy, moved etc, and yet the one thing i keep returning to is this decision as though i ruined my life. Ironically the only thing ruining my life is my outlook and yet i just can’t stop.

My girlfriend is willing to break off our entire relationship because she found out my mom doesn't approve of her. We have no issues between each other but she said she can't be with someone who's family doesn't like her.

My relationship just ended yesterday because he wanted to “focus on myself and figure things out.” My relationship before that ended (~2 years ago) because he wanted to focus on himself. I can’t help but feel like it’s because something is wrong with me. What am I doing wrong?

My dad who lives in Asia just announced that he had a medical issue. I’m starting to enter the age where I’m going to take care of him financially. It’s a $2,000 hospital bill which in the US is nothing compared to what it represents there (which he can’t afford). He’s going to be fine! Just wanted to share with this group as many of you can understand what it feels like to support your parents when they’re old, not the other way around. I feel so blessed I can help him. 🙏🏽

Boyfriend and I have been dating for ~1.5 years and we still only spend weekends together. I want to move in together at the 2 year mark but bf thinks it’s too soon... just feels our relationship is stagnant and not going anywhere. Any thoughts from ppl who’ve gone through similar situations?

Haven’t seen bf in over 3 months due to COVID. Lately, he’s been pushing to see me but I don’t feel comfortable because he hasn’t been quarantining. He makes it sound like if I’m not willing to go see him might as well breakup. Any advice?

It's not like the marriage is terrible or unhealthy, but they would take an out if not for having had the kids.

At my uncles wedding in Madrid I remember lying down on the grass in the courtyard after their first dance and crying, my Dad came and saw me, laid down in his suit beside me and asked what was wrong.

And we just lay there as I cried, and then got up. Had a drink.

Said boyfriend left years ago, and now I have a wonderful man who just asked me what type of dance lessons I want for our wedding next year.

So I have been seeing a guy for 4 months. We have a pay disparity.. he earns less than I do (by quite a bit). He has mentioned a few times that he’s worried I’ll get bored of him when I know he can’t afford the same things I can. I think we are beginning to move past this, but now he’s starting to mention things like ‘I am really broke this month’, and last weekend he told me his mum has lost her job and he’ll have to probably pay her rent. I have been talking to a recruiter for a little over a month about a position. I let her know out the gate that I really wasn’t looking to change jobs, but she just kept wanting to continuing the conversation. I didn’t have 2 interviews with the hiring coming and they know that I am not really looking to make a switch. They are now working on an offer letter and I know they’re going to offer me more money.
