I have never considered myself a Britney Spears fan but after watching the New York Times documentary and seeing how her retaining custody of her children was used as a coercive mechanism to force her to work herself to the bone while also monitoring and controlling all her movement and communication via a private security firm, I’m appalled and horrified that even a mega-star working mom could be subjected to such treatment with the full cooperation of the legal system. Horrified.

My sister and I have recently both come to the realization that our parents guilt us into spending time with them or visiting them and the guilt causes us both to shut down. Our dad is the main offender, often reminding us how little time we have left with him, asking us why we’re leaving so soon or reminding us about all the good deeds and sacrifices made. We’ve both noticed this shift in our relationship with our parents after graduating from college and starting our own adult lives. Continued

Anyone with anxious attachment tendencies? Going through a breakup and I keep thinking about how I pushed him away and then am down on myself, replaying memories in my mind. At the end of the day, I think we were a bad match from the beginning and misaligned, but so hard not to beat myself over my anxious attachment during my relationship

How have you combated your fear of rejection? I fixate on such small things as when my friends, for example, reject plans I have made. This definitely makes me more averse to putting myself out there and makes me ruminate on past perceived failures, which are clearly not good for personal growth

Help,I started a new career n the events industry and I think I have to quit! The person I report to is so disorganized and there are no other managers in the office to direct day to day operations of our department. On day 2 I was asked to go to a job site and perform a 12 hour day without any training, safety equipment or tools. On day 3 I was asked back to site to do general labor!
