What happens is that many of these companies forget that the increase in their sales comes from the community and believe that they are door sales, that is, they forget about the background work and assume that everything will continue to improve without the need to make investments.
It is something quite common, when an investment is made in marketing it always starts with a large volume because it is something that had not been done before, results are obtained and later the investment is stopped because since they are not tangible the results do not continue to do so, at the same time. the time they believe that the investment will return to be as great as the first.
I think it's all due to ignorance, during the development of my first marketing strategy in my company we saw the numbers increase in every way, sales, visualizations, likes, engagement rate, everything. But for my bosses only sales mattered, for the second year plan the investment in marketing fell sharply, after 3 months they met with me again to increase the budget and things quickly improved, since then my bosses think about marketing.
Some owners and bosses believe that having a brand image in the networks is only for people to see the logo of the brand, so they make the first investment and then they think they don't need it anymore, that's why they don't invest again but instead, they keep what they have.
What a pity that these things happen, because we know what happens when you abandon the investment in the brand image, people stop looking for you, you stop being a reference and much of the work you did is lost.
Marketing investments are a "hard blow" in the annual expenses of companies, I say hard, since many complain about the investment and pay little or no importance to the results, and of course, since it is something that they have never done, it will always be a hard blow at first, but the important thing is to maintain that, but apparently it is something that nobody understands.
They want to cut expenses. And the outcome? Overworked employees.
Well, this is the sad reality. Probably because of bad management or a wrong mindset. Have you tried voicing out your opinion?
