Hot market. Any sign of PIP I suggest you go somewhere else and get a pay bump while you’re at it.

Probably ok, see how it goes. Even if you get on pip in the current environment you have time to show improvement or seek other options.

If you get on pip start sending those applications out. You get more money going somewhere and also not slaving to get yourself out that hole stressing whether you’re doing okay or not. Most pips I’ve seen were used to document that the firm “tried something” to counter any potential litigation from you. Some people get out of it. Most people don’t.
Or maybe they’ll tell you you’re doing well and they have a ‘great opportunity’ for you? Who knows. Go down some Jack and sleep it off you’ll be fine either way. Market is on our side.
I got out of the PIP, but the market wasn’t as hot as it is now. I’d bounce if I was in the same situation now.
Is HR on the meeting too?
SC - open the calendar invite in Outlook and then click scheduling assistant. Or check on your phone
There is a good chance that they want to talk to you about something completely different. Maybe they are just checking i with people to see if they are doing Ok.
Not sure why you find that funny. I have have had several invites from partners that were just checking in to see how I was doing. Others have also.
You’re unlikely to be fired if this would be the first time someone important has had a “serious” talk with you about your performance. If this is the first time, maybe this is warning #1. Also depends on the underlying issues with your performance. If things just haven’t clicked for you yet but you’re trying, you’re likely not getting fired yet. If you aren’t doing your work, have a bad attitude, or negative relationships with clients, that’s a different story.
I’m really trying, just going thru a lot of personal stuff. We shall see tomorrow!
Just know you will be alright! Try to do things to help you take your mind off of what the partner may want to say so you don’t get too anxious. Please let us know how it goes, we are invested in this and rooting for you😊

Sorry to hear that, was hoping it was at least a pip so you have time to apply at other firms. Regardless, heads up and fire up those applications! Everyone’s desperate and you start with a clean slate.
Which firm?
Did you hear back? What happened?
