Hi Fishes, I am considering a Senior Engineer role with Alteryx (previously Hyper Anna) Sydney. If it's not too much trouble, I was hoping if anyone here could share their experience of working at Alteryx Sydney in terms of Culture, work life balance, politics, work pressure, people, Leadership and product. Thanks.

I took a few days off, but getting back into it today. I think sometimes it helps to step away and come back with fresh eyes.

This is a good time to reset your mind and energy from the job search. People are off on vacation so it’s ok to disconnect!
I agree with this. You can't let yourself get burned out on the job search. It is okay to take a few days off to enjoy time with friends and family.
I look every week regardless of the time of year. Luckily out of all jobs I have landed I usually got interviewed and hired around the beginning of the year.

They are not. They are not going to be active in the new year either. As per latest survey of CEOs (WSJ), companies are looking to keep headcount flat next year.
I took the last few weeks of the year off since nothing happens around that time. I'm going to give it another few weeks before I get back to the grind.

I got sick the Friday before Christmas, which pretty much halted just about everything except holiday related activities (no gym either). I had intended to keep searching and applying throughout last week, but was left with no energy to do so.
I am still sorting through the cough, congestion, and energy issues over a week later, and looking back, I am certain that I didn't miss "my" opportunity. At this point anything posted will most likely not start interviewing until next week at the earliest. I'll still hop on to the boards a bit this week, though woth a much more relaxed posture.
I don't expect next week to be magic either, but will be back to having s more full-time job approach to the hunt.
I haven’t started anything new but following up on existing opportunities.

I expect to hear back from roles in January. Most job positions have a January & February 2026 start date.
