I’ve worked at AT&T as a sales consultant for 6 years and 8 months where we prospect, uncover, and close on leads. I’ve used Salesforce for the past 4 years during my tenure. I’ve done B2B sales where I’ve received awards for it for 2 years consecutively. Loads of troubleshooting, uncovering needs through consultative styled selling, and tech app subscriptions.
I was wondering if I have the necessary skills to transition into a tech sales role. If so, what would be the best role/fit for me?Amazon Salesforce Google @

I would absolutely reach out.
Today, a current coworker told me a recruiter reached out to them. It’s for the same job. My current co-worker doesn’t know I interviewed for the same position . Is it appropriate to reach out to the recruiter and plainly ask if I’m still in the running? Taking this job would require me to move to another state, so it’s a pretty big deal. If I didn’t get the job I’d love to know so I can move on
Just say you just want to check in and that you're still very much interested in the position and wanted to see if they have any update.
No, dont mention that. It won't help. Also, just fyi, independent recruiters are notorious for ghosting.
Any suggestions on how to word it so I don’t come off as a dick?
Do I mention them reaching out to my coworker? If it matters, the recruiter is from a recruiting agency, not in-house
Thanks. I appreciate the insights
