Additional Posts in Interview Tips
I had an interview w/ the Hiring Manager at Boston Consulting Group for a position and it went so well that the HM said on the spot I was going to be moving onto the next round. Its been weeks since that interview & I've had to follow up w/ the recruiter 3x asking for an update. I mentioned interviewing elsewhere but prioritizing BCG. He finally responded to that saying he was going to debrief with the HM and get back to me but nothing... what gives?

The cost for the employer to contribute to medical benefits is a decent chunk of compensation, so if the new company’s cost for benefits is a lot more your net salary could decrease. I started a new job where the cost for health insurance is $150/ month, which by itself is a couple percentage points pay bump.
Total compensation is made up of more than your base salary. You need to factor in the other components of what you are giving up (i.e. having to pay more for health benefits).
Are you using the tuition reimbursement? If so, that might be worth staying for until you complete your schooling and then move on (when there is no longer a penalty).
Or are the future opportunities with the new company that great that they outweigh the financial impact of the move?
I am still waiting on the health benefits breakdown so I am hoping the employee contribution is better than at my current company which is high.
I am utilizing tuition reimbursement but 2023 will be my last year, so the pay increase helps offset that and I’m not sure I could get a $10k raise at my current company within the next 12 months.
Future opportunities at new company seem fantastic, and culture at current company is not super supportive of women in leadership so I think long term the new opportunity is better even though I may lose some of that human interaction on a day to day in the office
