As an ADC applying this summer for 2022 start, I haven’t gotten a chance to connect with any L.E.K. Consulting members and I really want to get to know the company better before moving on with my application. Any L.E.K. Consulting fish out there willing to spare a few minutes to chat about their work, the company, the culture etc? Thanks!

Neat story.
I am just being honest 😩
I had the same issue years ago. Was made redundant in 2008 during GFC 1 year out of undergrad.
No one would hire in a graduate role and no one would hire as an experienced hire (not enough experience and more competition for open roles)
Instead ran my own marketing consultancy (made more money than my job), did a post grad diploma (1 year program) and entered graduate program at Deloitte.
Few years later attending a top 3 MBA program.
Few more years later, working on a multi billion $ product launch at leading tech company.
Tip - it’s who you know. Keep up the hustle.
Thank you!
umm... sir, this is a wendy’s
What do you mean? ma’am? Or sir?

Not to be too critical, but maybe don’t aim for one of the most competitive firms out there, especially in this climate. Even in the best of times an “experienced hire” with a few months experience is not any better than a campus hire, and they already have enough of those. You don’t fill a niche or a particular need with that resume
It is hard to network nowadays through LinkedIn. People browse my profile and don’t respond or they ignore the message and move on.
I have no clue where to apply. My background is a bit technical and I want to work in the business focused roles.
Everyone else is laughing at me but I do believe persistence and grit will carry me far. I hope I did entertain for the laughers out there.
My dude. I Dont mean to be mean.. But.. Few months out of college? Not exactly experienced.
BC1 oh yes. Thank you for reminding me. I completely forgot about the usher scale.

Good luck OP!

Unfortunately set expectations low. Experienced positions usually do require at least a year of experience

Op- What group? Are you on the bench now?
OP, I don’t understand. On the one hand, you write as if you are writing “woe is me...I’m the only one going through something and life is unfair”. On the other hand, you are really defensive and cheeky. I’m not sure what you wanted from this community other than entertainment. You made your decisions and you seem confident and content.
Good luck getting into McK. Easy swap to MBB now that you have almost a year of experience with the call center work. 🤔. I hear they are Immune to COVID- related challenges and the global economic meltdown. I’m sure you will have a lot more Work Life balance to enjoy your new abode.
Yeah, I definitely would not position yourself as an experienced hire if I were you.
Oh boy. Good luck! Do what’s best.
👍 Good luck

Thank you!
Good Luck OP, might as well make moves and decide later ;)
I love it
Fake it till you make it? Good luck!
honestly, as long as you don’t put “mckinsey - experienced professional applicant” under your linkedin experience, i don’t think you have much to lose.
