Hi Guys,
I have been assigned to a Unbillable Project, they are building one app and have recruited people from the talent pool. The project is not registered in GLOW. And they are calling it as Voluntary Contribution type project for studio. Is this what they call Internal Project in Globant?
Will there be any impact if I don't perform as per their expectations?
Will it be of any benefit to me if work in voluntary project? Will HR recognize this project contribution as valid work?

Don't forget they don't give a sh*t if you drop dead and die of burnout.
So very true. The Firm (whoever it may be) didn't give two-sh about you. They will carry on with or without you.
If you don't watch out for yourself, no one else will.
Take the 2 days & tell 'em to pound sand if they don't like it.

Say that you had a health flare up and need to take time. Do not ask, state how long you need to be out and your plan for getting work covered. There’s a team there for a reason!
This communication is not only true, but they are also not allowed to pry (and if they do, you can say you’re not comfortable sharing your health issues with coworkers and leave it there)
Agreed. There is no job that is worth compromising your health. Definitely take the time and try not to worry about it.
^THIS. I have been in your shoes OP. Take the time, get help. If EY isn’t supportive move on. You will have a long career that could span many firms and many decades. Prioritize your health.
You should friend. Do you feel comfortable asking for two sick days? I wish we worked in an environment in which it’s not frowned upon to say, “listen I haven’t been doing well mentally, I could really use a couple of days to recover”, but unfortunately it depends we don’t know how people take it. I once told a supervisor I was burning out and his answer was “How can you be burning out, you’ve only been on this project for x time.”

Just send an email on Monday morning saying you are out sick and highlight a list of coverage needed to the senior. There is always a risk of the senior think “you are out sick too much”, but it’s better than self harm.
Please consider taking short term disability, if that’s an option for you. Two days is probably not enough for you to level back out. I’m based in California, and I know that process here and am happy to talk to you about it, about how to communicate to your manager, etc. Just DM me if you want to talk, and I hope today goes all right!
I’m a senior who’s dealt a lot with self harm, and I think I would either A) if you’re comfortable talking with your senior on the job and just being 100% real, do that, or B) just ping your counselor and set up a quick chat to explain what’s going on. Your mental health is worth so much more than a deadline. 💕 you’re important.
Self-care is super important!
Sometimes staying home all day can make things worse...work can take your mind off of it...other times not...regardless, do whatever the hell you need to do
I’d recommend that you just say you’re really ill and need to take time. No need to be specific, just make the statement and take the time.
Honestly, given that we’re still mid-pandemic...they’re even less likely to ask / doubt your need to take time.
Y’all thanks for the reply. I saw my inbox piling up last night and a few task I wanted to delegate to our offshore team fell through. Didn’t have the balls to take the day off today😔Maybe I will try again tomorrow when things get lighter 🤞🏼
Haha I’m the same way...I feel terrible and think “f it I will just take the day off” but then last minute I chicken out. Lol. Anyway, have a good day!!!
Hey want an update / to make sure you are okay now that Thursday has passed
