I just received a strong job offer from VMLY&R frisco (Intel team). Any thoughts that VMLY&R team and/or how to deal w the guilt trip of leaving your current team? I’m currently at TRG splitting my time between 5 accounts, several of which I have no support on, so I know if I leave I’ll be screwing my accounts/bosses. At the same time, I know I’m currently undervalued for what I’m contributing. Help!

At what point does “ego” stop mattering? Over the past 5 years I’ve worked my way to being an Account Manager, but ultimately my career goal is to work for the government. There’s an opportunity to be an admin assistant working for the government, and would be a nice way for me to get in and move up. But the title change from Account Manager to Assistant is a big deterrent. Logically I know that it doesn’t matter, but emotionally it’s hard to feel like I am taking a major career step back?
