I have an interview with PwC for a Senior 2 role in audit. How should I prepare? What questions would they ask me? I’m coming from another B4.

Husband is doing well in his career, my son is thriving in school...Im still struggling to find a work place that i like. I been at my current employer for a year and to say the least i feel under utilized, undermined , only hired for my "optics" ( only minority in the team.. literally introduced once as the Puerto Rican HR lady). After 4 weeks of 60-65 hour timesheets, I am at my wits end. I tried to look for other opportunities, but I have essentially ghosted 3 recruiters and 1 second round interview. I am embarrassed. I don’t even want to leave bc I love my department. Should I drastically reduce the quality of my work and get my life back? Will it bite me in the ass? Or will it send the right message?

Applied to a role and got asked to interview but I just discovered the salary is lower than I was expecting. The company has a more senior role that I fit which pays what I am looking for. Should I tell the recruiter that I am going to apply for a different role that better aligns with my experience? If yes, what’s the best way to word that 👀 The second role is in my current city so maybe I could mention that as a reason.

I was interviewing in February but then had to pause applying/interviewing. I have a monthly rocketblocks payment so should I just cancel it then? Do people only get it when they have a case lined up? It’s kind of expensive.

I have a final round interview tomorrow for an Associate Product Manager role. The interview is with the Director of Engineering and VP of Product Management.

Any idea of what questions I could expect and/or anything I should look out for in particular?

HR said it will be similar to my first round interview which was with two senior product managers. They asked questions around my background, working style, product methodologies knowledge etc.

Re-invited to interview at BCG but also want to cast a wide net and apply for Mck and Bain. However got rejected last year this time at the resume screen stage. I’ve changed firms since I last applied (to a well known boutique) - is this sufficient or am I still frozen?

To those who left audit for tax, why did you move? Guess I’m trying to feel better about being in tax and missing out on the audit experience having.

I think I would be good with operational finance (like day to day accounting, leading people, process improvements) but I don’t think I can achieve that with just tax experience.
