Question for all the Salesforce employees out there: which should I apply for? A Solutions Engineer position or a Salesforce professional services role focused on delivery? Looking to make the move but would want to know more about how the two compare in regards to total comp, WLB, career progression, exit opportunities, etc.

This is an important post and topic.
There is no real strong answer for this as it is all subjective, but I personally like to log off after a long day and throw some swears up to the ceiling, about those clients, and then actively force myself to forget the day by partaking in healthy activities I enjoy, such as exercise, reading and studying for personal benefit, resting my eyes, eating out, seeing friends and not talking about work, etc…
Physical workouts, on a regular basis.
Keeping a gratitude journal.
Going for a walk in the woods or near a large body of water.
I do all three of these, regularly.
Exercise, nature, animals, pot, friends, taking vacation time (all of it).
I feel you. Hang in there, friend!
Perspective. My parents always taught me that you can only be rattled if you allow people to rattle your cage. Don’t give them that response! Deprive them of that gift 💝
I agree with everyone that getting out in nature or having physical exercise is important. you're sitting all day in front of a screen, move your body and get away from other screens. Meditation is also helpful. It's easy to just sit and stare at the TV screen after work, but do yourself a favor longterm, and that is to exercise, eat a nice meal after you're done working, and really fill up your mental health cup. you need to take care of yourself for your own sanity.
