I wish I knew that resistance isn’t always bad. It’s mostly people’s way of trying to protect what’s familiar or voicing concerns that need to be heard. Instead of pushing harder, spending time listening and involving those resistant voices early can turn them into some of your best allies during a transformation.
Mapping opinion groups is helpful. Usually there are 'energetic early adopters" - who don't get a lot of cred, but there are some who are often slow changers, very grounded in business history (and often have good insights about risks and practicality of changes) who can be swayed and then are far better influencers.
Understanding your stakeholder groups thoroughly will help tailor your approach and get ahead of, or at least appropriately manage, resistance.
