The new company I’m at now sent me an email from an email address that was HR@companyName.careers saying I was accepted for the position. They gave me paperwork to fill out and sign to accept the position
I fill out the paperwork and send it back to them and it goes through… then a few days later I go back to the email to say something else and I get this…?
Then today I got a check from the company In the mail to setup my home office, and it’s signed by someone I’ve never met before or heard of…?
What…..

Last day of month?
Hoping to get in touch with #Peraton recruiter! I have about 9 months left in Air Force where I work in cyber defense and vulnerability management, have a BA in cybersecurity, sitting for CISSP and have lots of certs. Would love to chat with someone about opportunities. Hold a clearance and could technically start in 7 months. Any help is appreciated!! Thank you.

Is it worth to join cerner for 45%:hike (my current package is 18 lpa and cerner offering 25 fixex and 27 as a ctc) and leave hcl ? (Hcl is trying to retain me and offering 23 lpa package and 100% promotion)
For major concern is job security and work life balance.

Don’t jump, keep FAANG and finish the degree. You will get better product roles after 2 years.
Coach
Jump now
Why would you throw away the grad school opportunity? If the team is good, stick with it and recognize that covid and remote work is likely adding significantly to your feeling of not enjoying the job. At least personally, the social element of work was what made me love my job more than the job itself so I wouldn’t jump too quickly until you’ve given it a chance post-covid.
Mentor
Why can’t you shift into PM in your FAANG? I wish I could have gotten grad school for free. Also it is HARD HARD HAAAARD to find a good manager. Your manager obviously cares about your growth to approve grad school so quickly after you started. Will you have the same managerial support/growth opportunities at this start up?
Mentor
Ah I missed the sales part. Yeah....just too bad though. You gotta go where you’ll get the experience, just too bad to miss out on such good managerial experience.
Mentor
If it’s what you want yes
Coach
Product experience is what gets you product manager opportunities. I’d finish grad school and leave to another role then. You’ll have the degree and also the FAANG title then.

1. How’s the brand strength for the startup?
2. Won’t you lose a ton of RSUs leaving before a year is finished?
Mentor
If you don't like your job because working remote is isolating, and you are junior, then would going to a startup help? Startups are also impacted by covid and WFH, so you will be just as isolated. You probably won't go from a junior sales hire to executive at a startup (unless you're a founder), so you will still be junior.
Sounds like you should stay for a year or two, handle or change the isolation and junior-ness the best you can and then reevealuate.
I think you answered you’re own question 😉
Coach
Personally, I take the job at the startup. I’ve never been one to prioritize prestige of company over your actual role
Stay, finish school. PM right out of MBA with FAANG will have many more doors open and much better salary power.
