If you know zero about investing, I'd advise you to
1. Go with a reputable brokerage (vanguard, Schwab, fidelity) not Robinhood
2. Invest in funds instead of individual stocks
Before you throw your money into Amazon, maybe take a basic, free online personal finance course. I would be super concerned for you putting $10k into a single stock when you literally don't seem to even know where/how to buy it.

This x1000. Learn the basics of investing and start with ETFs before you start stock picking.
Since you are new to investing, let me share that investing in a single stock is the riskiest investment you can make. You should get some education. Investing in a total market mutual fund would be much wiser
Since vanguard has your 401k, you can sign up for an individual brokerage account with vanguard too for ease.

Tracking and trading is up to you to preclear first using the tool.
I like vanguard. Their mobile app sucks though..unless they made a recent update
Put 10k into an index fund like VOO
So if you really know zero about investing - I say do yourself a favor. Find an ETF that has large holdings of Amazon in it and buy that instead. You can look up ETF top 10 or 25 holdings and that will be better. VOO or VONG come to mind, but look around. Buying single stocks is a pretty risky maneuver if you don’t actively keep track of the markets.

And doubly risky if it’s the only thing you own.
How about 1k into amzn, and 1k each into 9 other companies that you research and find attractive.
If you know nothing about investing, best to start with index funds - also check your independence restrictions before taking action
I use the Robhinhood app for my investments. It’s really easy to use. If you have questions let me! I also have a code if you create an account t and you get a free stock

Also, you’re not their client, you’re their product. They sell the data about your trades to market makers a fraction of a second before they place yours so you get a worse price.
