Planning to apply at EY for a Consultant role. PI - AMI - business design.
One of the subheadings says it's for banking but in the skills section they mention experience in any of FMCG, auto, pharma, tech, etc is needed.
I have no interest in just banking but I won't mind if my work involves all the sectors listed above. Is the role only for banking or for other sectors as well?

I work in US Tax and had an experience of 3 year. Had got an offer of 14Lpa in another big4,but still don't feel like continuing in US Tax. As taxation is something I do feel like I don't want to make a career anymore, because of work life balance & also as it specialised. Please suggest other option worthy to make a career shift. You guidance will be extremely helpful. My highest qualification is M.com.

No. I worked full time, studied for the cpa, and studied for lsats/applied for law school all at the same time. I also exercised 60 minutes a day. Most people who say they are too busy are lazy, or deprioritizing you.
You studied for the CPA and LSATs? How long did you study the LSATs for? How'd you do?
Actually the hardest part of being a call reference at that level would be just the amount of time spend working. If you’re in an audit room with other people or normally sit in a bull pen (and don’t have an office) it would be hard to take a call like that in the middle of the day. Anything outside the work day would be insanely late or early.
I have a 3 yr old, work full time and a husband who’s job is demanding. I study 2/3 hrs a day outside of busy season. More on the weekends. I have two tests left after this April.
I don’t understand the people who study 4+ hours after working all day. Doesn’t work for me, I’m not able to retain anything.
I think it’s more about schedule and finding one that works for you.
It must take 15 minutes of someone’s time to be a call reference. Perhaps the friend does not want to be a reference.
And it is not hard to study for the exam if you plan in advance, stick to a study schedule, and avoid distractions.
All you need is 2-3 hours a day max. You can’t really retain any more information if you study longer house in addition to work
When I was studying I was also working full time and studying for 3 to 5 hours a night passed it’s a rough time in your life but he who suffers the most will pass . Also had to give up some of my week ending and not go as hard on the weekend it’s about finding balance. Some test are harder than others
