Hello People,
I received a verbal offer letter from Oracle. I said yes and things moved on. BGV was initiated as well. BUT, Yesterday I received a call from the hiring manager that Oracle is putting hiring freeze, so they are not able to release offer letter as 1 approval was still pending from the VP. He said I will be contacted once freeze is over. Do you think I still have any chances of getting in once the freeze is lifted and how long the freezes are in Oracle ? Oracle

I work at Intuit and can say the culture is pretty great. There is a lot of support for new employees and the stock is going up and up. Intuit is a great long play - they are partnering with the LA Clippers for a Stadium, the Mail Chimp Acquisition, Rocketing stock price, ect.
Despite all of these things, I would consider 3 things 1) total compensation 2) Who your Boss is. 3) Where are you passionate about
Both companies have great name recognition on a resume and have a lot of upsides. Look at the teams and see where you fit better.
All that being said... As long as there are no red flags within the business unit.. the higher total compensation is probably where you want to go
Which company is the 2nd one at?
Updated post. Intuit
Would you mind sharing the compensation differences please, for reference?
Did anyone get info on compensation at Intuit for principle level?
If you’re trying not to consider comp, then I’d say it comes down to the culture at each employer and the actual responsibilities in each role (although they both seem to be different titles for the same thing…).
Travel considerations? Location/commute?
Team size? Who’s your boss going to be? Growth (of the company and yourself)?
Soz for the non-MECE response 🤷♂️
… but just follow the money, I’m going to guess at AirBnb
What were the TCs for both if you don’t mind sharing?
Id go Airbnb. I’d be worried at intuit that congress would simplify the process for personal income tax and kill most of their turbo tax business

I believe I actually applied for that Intuit job.

My friend started at airbnb a few months ago and she's happy there.
