Is Morgan Stanley currently remote? Just got a job for a contract position in NYC for Morgan Stanley downtown office (1 Penn plaza). I heard from some employees that they are remote but the hiring manager said I should come into office. Kinda confused why a contractor would need to come into office and employees are working remote.

Any one familiar with comp for a Portfolio Associate roll at PIMCO on their mortgage backed securities team? I’m looking at an offer and want make sure I’m in line with the average comp for the company and industry. Only 4 months of experience and offer is 98k w/ 10-20% bonus plus 15k relo/ sign on. Looking at Glassdoor, bonuses seem higher than quoted by the hiring manager. (No written offer yet they say they’re still working on it)

Impressive!
also typo, not sure how to edit my original post. CMA = Certified Management Accountant
This is an impressive profile. I wish I can boast of this .
thank you for the feedback. while reflecting, I am pretty sure I can't settle for another lateral move. Either I get a step up here to manager FP&A, or try to achieve landing a similar role elsewhere.
I feel as though someone who has a CMA but no MBA and similar aspirations, that I also want a promotion to Manager, FP&A lol. I have 5 years experience. 3.5 at prior company and 1.5 at current. Made it to Finance Manager at old company, but the pay and culture was lackluster. Current company is excellent, however I feel I am severely overpaid for my role, but underpaid for my output and experience.
Have you had any conversations with your manager about potentially working on getting promoted. It certainly doesn’t hurt to ask. Worst that happens is they say no, but provide some kind of guidance to help.
You should be able, with the right kind of networking, resume and interview skills to be able to make it to Manager, FP&A. Happy to chat further. Feel free to DM me
Thanks SA1, update here, boss aluded to manager promotion this summer. No gaurentees, but looking bright. In the mean time still going to update resume and networking, while finishing off remaining months strong. Will see what happens. thanks again.
