I never made serious dating a priority when I was a student/resident. Now I'm at a point in my life where I'm really craving that kind of connection. How do you all manage a crazy work schedule with a long-term relationship?

I have maintained a long term relationship through medical school and practice and now with a demanding industry career. You have to be intentional with any free time and prioritize to include your relationship. As the previous poster noted your partner has to be mature, self confident, aware, & most of all PATIENT. Develop a common goal and you both have to be willing to compromise some to meet the goal. We built a non-profit addressing a common passion which she manages but we both support.

I've been there. It really just comes down to finding someone understanding and patient.

Started talking to this guy through group a group telegram and one day he offered to pay for my lunch as I had helped him out with something. Since then he has been offering to pay for my dinners, salon visits, shopping etc and I have accepted 3-4 times. I am in a steady relationship and my boyfriend doesn’t know about this. The other guy just says he likes paying for my stuff and there’s no agenda. Is this a little weird?

How long did you date your SO before moving in with them?

like

My SO adds very little to our relationship. She has a dead end job. I cook. I work. I oversee finances. I plan trips. She doesn’t have a voice in the relationship. I’ve asked her to give her perspective but she always defaults to mine bc she thinks I’m smarter/worldly. She feels intimated by me and my social circle. Lately, I’ve found myself thinking for her. Anticipating her wants and needs and then adjusting my behavior to meet them. Which she appreciates but it’s frustrating 29M 27F

I am generally uncomfortable when I’m around my mother-in-law’s husband.

While he is overall a decent guy, his anger issues, yelling at his wife for the slightest issue, and insulting nature makes me uncomfortable and triggers my own anger due to his blatant disrespect for just about everyone around him.

My mother-in-law says he’s worked on things, but it’s been 10 years of this and I’m not sure I want such behavior around my wife and our kids since we’re trying to conceive soon (cont).

Hi everyone! First time using this app. I always wondered, how are other IT help desk jobs? I’ll share how mine is.
I work at an MSP (Managed Service Provider) meaning we are the IT services for many other companies. It’s busy all the time and I get to experience all different types of apps, OSes, and almost every aspect of IT in this way. I make around 50k which is alright but its hectic as there’s too many tickets and not enough personnel. I heard this is common but I’m not sure.
