Our team uses Class Dojo. I love it! It functions like Facebook for the classroom. I can post pictures and information for the entire class or individual students. There are behavior tracking tools included as well but I am not currently using them. I love it!
I’m trying an app called ClassTag and so far I am liking it. I’ve posted announcements, communicate through private messages and can even send pictures!
We use a monthly calendar, weekly newsletter and daily behavior sheets in a binder that we provide. We also use the program called Classtag to email and text classroom and school general information.
I am a one on one aid for a child with autism in second grade. I do a daily report home where my student earns stars through out the day in each period. I write comments if the child had a hard time focusing or did not complete their work during the day. If anything major happens I email but that is rarely.
I use a daily folder which goes home and comes back to school everyday
I started using seesaw- a student portfolio and parent communication app. Best part is that it translates into other languages for non-English speaking families!!!
The app is called Seesaw? I’ll have to look into that after having my parents complete a communication preference form on our meet-the-teacher night. I have a full caseload already so I’m wanting to make communication fast, easy, and efficient for both me and my students. It’s my first year teaching too.
I have Remind. It lets me do group or individual messages
Our team uses Class Dojo also which allows instant communication through pictures, videos, and text messages. It’s realistically constant.
We use the behavioral tracking tools for EVERYTHING! 👍🏻
Weekly newsletters and personal notes was needed
Class dojo or remind101
When I taught preschool I rarely saw parents, unfortunately. I sent weekly newsletters and a monthly calendar. I also used Class Dojo and some parents did join and it was an easy way to communicate.
We use ClassDojo. I try daily.
I use the remind app.
I usually send out a quick survey that asks parents how I can communicate with them the most effectively. So far, notes in the backpack, the Remind App, and phone calls have been this year's most effective choices for this year. I also use e-mails and try to attach a cute picture to most e-mails so they get read.
Daily through the remind application and weekly in my newsletter.
Google Voice app
Dojo...email...phone...text. I prefer face to face but parents just don’t come in anymore:(.
Everyday vía Class Dojo.
