I know it’s 4mos but everyone I know using it has been here a year so not sure about the requirement. It applies even if not primary caregiver.
And this is in the UK office?
Doesnt UK have different leave in general? Pretty sure this was just for US.
There's no 1 year mark - at least in the US (not sure on UK). I took maternity within few months of joining.
Just type in paternity leave on the intranet search.
No it doesn’t.
4 months is the US policy, and doesn’t require to be the primary caregiver now that some lawyer picked up it was code for “not a man”…
Dunno what the policy is in the UK
(In the US): I don’t think there is a minimum tenure, but I would strongly encourage you to make it known to your manager asap that you want to take the full 4 month leave. Reckon it is not common yet and blindsiding your manager is not a good idea.
Search “parental leave” or Sedgwick on the intranet you’ll find it. I did it two years ago it is super straightforward
Were you able to find if there isany tenure required in the UK to be eligible for paid benefits? Thanks in advance
